N3TC urges motorists to utilise its 24-hour information service for official updates about the N3 Toll Route between Cedara and Heidelberg. Check road and traffic conditions before setting out, and have passengers monitor official channels while en route.
N3 Toll Concession (N3TC), the company managing the strategic 415 km N3 Toll Route between Cedara in KwaZulu-Natal and Heidelberg in Gauteng, urges road users to stay informed and be prepared for rapid changes to traffic conditions, the possibility of mobility disruptions and delays on roads across the country, including the N3 transport corridor, especially this week.
“As part of our commitment to road safety and efficient traffic management, we operate a dedicated Route Operations Service, designed to keep road users continuously informed, coordinate rapid responses to incidents and provide essential roadside assistance along the entire N3 Toll Route,” explains Thania Dhoogra, Chief Operating Officer of N3TC.
Quality information is a critical safety tool
In an era where unverified information and fake news can spread quickly, relying on official, accurate information sources is a critical component of road safety.
“The adage, ‘forewarned is forearmed’, holds as true as ever on the road. Having access to verified and accurate incident reports, route updates and weather information helps to ensure that motorists are never caught off guard,” continues Ms Dhoogra.
Carefully planning one’s journey, being prepared, having contingency plans in place and staying informed on a road trip are as essential to being a safe driver as obeying traffic rules and regulations.

Whether you are travelling for business or leisure, being prepared, remaining alert, exercising patience and allowing sufficient time to reach your destination safely can make all the difference when conditions on the road change unexpectedly,” concludes Ms Dhoogra.
