The 47^th Arthur Cresswell Memorial Marathon – a great success

N3TC and many others enjoyed a great day in Ladysmith where the 47^th Arthur Cresswell Memorial Marathon took place on the 14^th of April. Close to 1000 athletes participated in the three events that make up the Arthur Cresswell Memorial Marathon, namely the 52km Ultra Marathon; 21km Half Marathon and the 5km Fun Run.

This Ultra Marathon not only provides a great place to compete and qualify for comrades but also provides a way of helping those who are less fortunate. The Ladysmith Athletics Club (LAC) contributes R10 per entry received towards the Khanyisile Foundation.The Khanyisile Foundation was established in 2008 bythe Road Safety Foundation, Community Medical Services and N3 Toll Concession (N3TC). The Foundation aims to help children in the proximities of the Van Reenen area in the form of educational, nutritional, health and road safety perspectives.

N3TC and the Ladysmith Athletics Club (LAC) hope to see many more athletes participate in this ultra Marathon next year together with their ongoing supporters, The Arthur Cresswell Memorial Marathon is a race that is not to be missed!
