Does your credit card statement reflect incorrect dates or duplicate charges?
This is not an uncommon query from our road users, and N3TC would like to assure you that it takes every query of this nature extremely seriously and you can be certain of the fact that N3TC has numerous protocols and auditing processes in place in an attempt to eliminate any fraudulent activity that could possibly occur at the toll plazas along its route.
Let us explain what typically occurs… these duplicate charges and incorrect dates that are reflected on your credit card/garage card statement can be attributed to the various banking institutions’ ‘roll-up’ procedures which, dependent on when you travelled through the plaza, would register the transaction for your first trip through the plaza and your return trip. If, for example, your return trip was on the same day or even on a day in between their scheduled roll-ups, it may reflect as one transaction on your statement and possibly not even on the date of your travel, but rather on the roll-up date.
However, if you are still concerned, N3TC will gladly conduct an investigation into your query. You simply need to provide us with the following information and we will report back to you on our findings:
- · Date of your initial trip through the plaza/s;
- · Date of your return trip (if you made a return trip through the plaza/s);
- · Plazas where you made use of your card;
- · Your Banking Institution;
- · Credit Card number; and
- · Name as it appears on the Credit Card.
The information provided to N3TC will remain confidential and your privacy and security will be maintained.
