Today marked the first day of the 2016 N3TC drOp’ngo2c Supporters Tour. The Tour is designed to give supporters the freedom to experience the Old Mutual joBerg2c from a different perspective.
It was a great start to the nine days, clear sunny skies and wonderful company!
Our supporter’s enjoyed a lovely breakfast catered by Villiers high School, boy oh boy was it delicious, we even had a few riders stopping to have a nibble.
It was great chilling at the supporter zone, the only real ‘battle’ we had was facing the dreaded portable toilets! One of which had an owl pop out, yes you heard me right an owl! We all however survived the portable toilet battled for Day 1!
After a delicious breakfast and cheering for riders as they passed by, we had a stroll down to the floating bridge where riders braved racing across to avoid the ‘dip’ although on a beautiful day like today it wouldn’t have been such a bad thing.
Once the riders reached the finish at Frankfort they were welcomed by the Frankfort Primary pom pom girls which truly made it a great finish! Many of the riders were also able to enjoy a good massage after a hectic day 1 – I am sure this is what got them to the finish J
We hope that the supporters enjoyed day 1 and we are looking forward to what the next 9 days have in store for us.
